for mistaking the word MOTIVE with MOTIF….

I did not realized they are completely different word OTL I grew up learning Malay as one of my main language before English, so the Malay spelling of the word motive has always been motif, that’s why it never occurred to me that motif is an English word as well. I wanted to do the art summary thing, but never mind (I never really did any meme anyway /shot). I think that in 2012 I drew a lot of fullbody, legs and toes, which I have been avoiding for the past years because I’m really a coward like that, but I thought I gotta do it eventually anyway, so I’m thankful for 2012. I didn’t make a lot of illustrative drawing last year, I find it quite regretful actually (´_｀)

Therefore in this year 2013, I made a goal for myself, that is to make an art book for my past and new illustration, so I’m afraid to say no commission will be accepted for now. I will be quite busy to make this happen, but I hope to still update here regularly. Thank you all for being so kind to me all the time, I will strive for the best!

I got something to say if you would follow my little scenario;

Let’s say A and B (and the rest of the people) are planning to throw a party. A wanted to make pizza and mentioned about it to the group. B thought of the idea of making pizza at the same time but he did not managed to deliver his intention of making pizza to the group because A was ahead of him. So B was like ‘cool, let’s make pizza, I think we got all the ingredients needed’. But, A was like ‘no you can’t, I said about making pizza first, you make something else’. And so that landed B in a difficult situation. B couldn’t make pizza because A did not want B to, and that’s just illogical. Both of them have the ingredients, both of them have the ability so why can’t both of them make pizza? I mean, more pizza for everyone right?

(Ok maybe comparing pizza making to art making is weird but let’s have another scenario)

There are two women walked into the hair saloon to have their hair styled. The first woman took her seat, followed by the second woman shortly right after the first woman. One of them has black hair, the other has red hair. So, they told what kind of style they desired to their hair stylist and both of them happened to have asked for cornrows style. In the end, they both ended up with cornrows and one of them felt ticked off because she thought she came first. She got furious because someone else sports the same hairstyle as she did. But the other woman was happy with her hair and she has no complaint whatsoever. So you see, the both of them have the time, the money and have the people of service to style their hair but one of them is furious, but why the need to feel that way?

(Ok maybe another scenario closer)

Okay so, you really like Pikachu and you wanted to draw your own personage (or gijinka as many call it). So you worked really hard to make a design that you feel like it’s you, you put a lot of effort and you finally did it. You think it looks hella awesome, you can’t wait to show it to the world. So you posted your awesome Pikachu gijinka to Tumblr. And then it hit you so suddenly that someone came by your Pikachu gijinka drawing and claimed that they did one for themselves first. You were like ‘what??’. You don’t really mind someone out there did one first, you just really like the idea of having one yourself, so why not right? And that’s really unfair to you that you worked so hard for yours and someone just came to you and tried to tell you off nonchalantly without rational reasoning.

Thank you for making it this far and to tolerate my English, sorry, but what I really wanted to say is that don’t let something limit your vision, instead of building borders how about knocking them down and see the world of imagination has no ending line.
